About
My Journey in the Field of Graphic Design
Getting into Design
My name is Ryan Andersen and I have studied Graphic design for 3 years now. I moved to Lynchburg, Virginia in 2023 to begin my higher education at Liberty university. I have real experience in Logo design, branding, animation, illustrative work, and many more skills regarding design.
I originally got into the arts in my junior year of high school in 2021. I worked under the student council at Carmel Christian high school to make graphics in our weekly worship time every Thursday. This opportunity ultimately inspired me to begin graphic design and reach the heights I have today.
What I am learning
In my studies at Liberty I have dived into 3D design softwares such as Blender and Z brush and I have learned the art of vector illustration to achieve scalable design. I personally love story telling animation and I am definitely going to explore my options with how I can incorporate and grow in 3D to achieve a mix of 2D and 3D animation in the future.
My 2D animation and illustrations are done in Clip Studio Paint and my branding and vector design is done in the Adobe suite. Now that I have completed my junior at Liberty University I can confirm that I will be improving in blender and animation throughout the summer and my senior year of college.
My Experience
SAM Fund
SAM Fund is a club here at Liberty University that handles a $400,000+ long-equity portfolio that is managed by Liberty University students. I was originally tasked with rebranding the club and replacing all of their assets regarding their social media, presentations etc. This included a complete logo overhaul as well.
Sandusky Baptist Church
Sandusky Baptist Church is a small church on Sandusky rd. Lynchburg, VA that needed a brand identity and logo. Me and a group of other designers worked to meet this expectation through heavy logo ideation.
